Scottish Labour supports the principle of residential outdoor education for all. We supported the Bill at Stage 1, with the caveat that further consideration is given to funding, staffing, accessibility and capacity. There should be equity of access for all young people.

The challenges raised by Adolescence aren't something we can simply legislate for — if I could pull a lever to solve it, I would. It's only by listening and learning from the experiences of young people and charities that we can tackle this. That's what I've been doing today.

A great afternoon spent with outdoor education leaders in Westminster encouraging MPs from all parties to support our campaign to make outdoor residential experiences accessible to all young people. Outdoor education can boost confidence, build resilience, and change lives.

I joined youth workers from Breaking Barriers Building Bridges on one of their city centre walks and saw firsthand some of the crucial work they do to bring people together. We discussed knife crime in Nottingham and the need for investment in prevention and opportunities.

The UK is becoming a smaller and nastier place and we will all be worse off because of it. Ashamed to how we are allowing such attacks of such a small vulnerable minority and appalled about our government's facilitation of this for appeasement of a few and political point scoring

Very bleak result - Reform is a party governed by self-interest of the privileged few. Whatever they claim to stand for, all they seek to achieve is the growth of division & intolerance. Britain is facing challenges - Reform is not the answer.
