We reminisced about our time VUMC Surgical Sciences when she first moved to Nashville & I was still training Vanderbilt Surg Res! Now she’s the big boss!! 🥰

My favorite fall weekend is the Chicago Marathon! My wonderful husband Nicholas S Abruzzo & I started and finished together in 3 hr 50 min (my second fastest marathon). Our 11 month old son & much of our family cheered us on at mile 14! What a fun and memorable weekend 🥰

Remembering Finn who would have been 12 yo today. We said goodbye 6 months ago just before Christmas due to large B cell intestinal lymphoma. It was too soon. I used to say he would live forever, which I knew wasn’t true but was hoping for at least 14 years. We miss him. #surgdog

It really does take a village to be a surgeon mom! Amazing Harvard Medical School student, future surgeon, & researcher extraordinaire Cameron Comrie spent her lunch break strollering so I could see a few inpatient consults before our pediatrician appointment! GRaFTresearch
