Today, LAPD Public Engagement Section hosted the 2024 #LAPD Senior Lead Officer Summit where we worked to enhance skills to help facilitate community-led neighborhood improvement efforts and problem solving, as well as the creation of Community Engagement best practices.

#HMTF obsd 2 susps pulling copper wire from light pole on Washington & Santa Fe. Susps fled on foot and were found hiding under a stolen vehicle. A search resulted in the recovery of handguns & burglary tools. 3 days ago one of the susps was arrested in a stolen car. LAPD HQ

Senior Lead Officers at “Coffee with a Cop.” Today they are meeting with the community of William Mead! Citizens that live in the area asking questions and officers giving updates.

The protest on the UPC has ended. However, the campus remains closed until further notice. Students, faculty, staff, and people with business on campus may enter with proper identification.
