You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, “never get involved in a land war in Asia,” but only slightly less well-known is this: “Never enter a bidding war for ‘free’ stuff with Democrats!” washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-amer… The Steamboat Institute

This doesn't make sense. You don't "take on insurance companies" and fight for ObamaCare. The insurance companies love ObamaCare. The insurance lobby and PhRMA all fought for ObamaCare. Harris was on their team.

I think this is a tough decision for parents, and I understand the strong feelings Christians have about it. BUT there's no denying that a mass exodus of Christian families from public school systems has (and has had) serious implications for the 83% of kids left behind.

Now that nobody is eating pets and MAGA has been owned, we can go back to ignoring the story of a 58,000-person town grappling with a sudden influx of 20,000 migrants

Presidential Debate Which topics would you like to learn more about tonight? I'm discussing the most pressing issues, including many the media is ignoring, with a special guest, Hadley Heath Manning.

The U.S., while imperfect, is a great place to live for the majority of its residents, and the many who risk their lives to come here, when they could make their way to any country on earth, are the most powerful evidence that there is a lot of good that we ought to conserve.

You can't get around the fact that falling fertility is an economic issue. But it's much more than that. At the heart of the issue is a basic human desire (that most, but not all, people have) for children. And it's not a problem that government(s) can solve.

As I read responses to last night's debate, I am reminded of how deeply divided we are. The answer to this is MORE DEBATE, not less. RICH DEBATE, not just talking points. If you're looking for such debates, The Steamboat Institute is hosting several this fall: steamboatinstitute.org/the-campus-lib…

I always think a lot about Todd Beamer & "let's roll" on September 11 & I think that's because the weight of the tragedy is so heavy, I want something positive & inspiring to dwell on. All those first responders, all those who gave everything... I hope to honor their sacrifice.

I knew it was bad but: "After counting all transfer payments... and taxes... and adjusting for household size, the average households in the bottom, second and middle quintiles all have roughly the same incomes—despite dramatic differences in work effort." wsj.com/opinion/welfar…

"In an unfortunate but unsurprising twist, students who identified as 'very liberal' were more likely to support censorious tactics, & their support for censorship clearly skewed in one ideological direction," writes The Steamboat Institute Fellow Brad Polumbo 🇺🇸⚽️🏳️‍🌈 washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/314595…

This article made me so sad. For all parties involved. Of course people should not tolerate abusive relationships, but it seems that much of this is driven by ideological or political differences. Heartbreaking. newyorker.com/culture/annals…

Sure, Americans are richer than ever but people can’t have kids because “money.” Count me a skeptic. This has more to do with how you want to spend money, i.e. what you value. foxnews.com/media/quarter-…
