Prompted by John Griffiths MS, Vaughan Gething promises to continue to do everything to protect and enhance the Gwent Levels. This is welcome news indeed.

Spot on from Gillian Burke (@gillians_voice). We worked with Gwent Wildlife Trust to uncover the failings of the Llanwern solar farm. We don't want to see these failings repeated across the fragile and complex ecosystem of the Levels.

Excellent piece by Patrick Barkham on the plight of the shrill carder. The one large-scale solar farm on GL has already reduced numbers of these rare and beautiful bees.

Sir #DavidAttenborough explains why restoring biodiversity is crucial for all life on Earth, for tackling the climate emergency, and for keeping the food we eat in supply. It’s not too late. Let’s bring nature back.

This is the way to go. It shouldn’t be newsworthy, but it’s great to see Switch On To Swindon
