Despite the spin here on 'enquiries' the figures released late Sunday by ICRIR in fact show it only has a caseload of 8 cases. Legacy investigations have ground to a halt under the ICRIR. The ICRIR update confirming its total caseload is eight, is published here. icrir.independent-inquiry.uk/news/commissio… To open cases the ICRIR must either receive requests from families, the Secretary of State or at times law officers. It does not say which was the case for the 8 cases.
