The European Union is a strategic partner of the IMF in areas such as capacity development and concessional financing. Today, I met with EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺 Commissioner Jutta Urpilainen to continue our close dialogue and thank the EU for its strong support for the most vulnerable.
Thanks to the hard work of the High-Level Expert Group, we have a roadmap for scaling up #SustainableFinance & mobilising private capital for low- and middle-income countries. 📈

I want to ensure that also small 🇪🇺 Member States and SMEs can seize #GlobalGateway opportunities.
I had a good chat with 🇸🇰 private sector about investing in emerging markets.
Together with Eximbanka, we will co-organise an event for the companies in Bratislava in June.
I thank 🇸🇰 NGOs, including Ambrela - Platform for Development organisations, as well as international students from Ukraine and Afghanistan for today’s exchange.
Civil society and youth are vital actors of democracy.
They are essential partners in defining and implementing 🇪🇺 global role and engagement.
With Deputy Prime Minister Saková, we had a constructive discussion on introducing #GlobalGateway to investors for the mutual benefit of 🇸🇰 and partner countries.
Slovakia is part of 9 #TeamEurope Initiatives and has potential for more.
We also exchanged on solidarity with 🇺🇦.
