Happy #MothersDay ! 💐
Today, we recognize the moms and mother figures in the Sacramento region and across the nation who contribute to our communities and who've sacrificed and worked hard to help us be the best we can be.
May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth ! 💚
I’m fighting to protect and promote mental health care, ensuring everyone can access care whenever and wherever they need it.
If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 for 24/7 support.
Throughout the Sacramento region, we’re lucky to have nurses working tirelessly to save lives and maintain the health of our loved ones. 🏥
To our frontline heroes in our region and across the country, thank you. Happy #NationalNursesWeek !
With 10,000 baby boomers a day becoming eligible, it's more critical than ever that Social Security has the resources it needs. I helped lead nearly 100 of my Democratic colleagues to support more funding to improve customer service and reduce wait times & delays for our seniors.
According to IRS Tax Pros, you may be entitled to a tax refund for 2020.
If this applies to you—or you didn't receive the 1st or 2nd federal stimulus payments AND were eligible—you have until May 17 to file your taxes & claim your refunds.

I congratulate my dear friend & colleague Nancy Pelosi for being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom today.
Nancy’s leadership, dedication, & courage in public service have helped the American people through our toughest times.
She’s more than deserving of this honor.
Social security benefits provide economic stability for millions of older Americans & people with disabilities nationwide.
I'm making sure that we give Social Security the tools to deliver the highest quality of service possible to those who need it most.

Energy efficiency is essential for meeting our growing energy needs.
In Energy & Commerce Democrats, I asked Secretary Jennifer Granholm about U.S. Department of Energy's efforts to improve energy efficiency and how energy efficiency saves Americans money—including many in the Sacramento region.
This month, we celebrate the immense impact that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, & Pacific Islanders have contributed to the American cultural fabric.
#AANHPIHeritageMonth gives all Americans a time to uplift these achievements & honor our amazing tapestry of cultures. 🌸🏮
As we continue Climate Action Week, I announced nearly $2M in federal funding for City of Sacramento’s urban forestry efforts.
Through initiatives in our underserved neighborhoods, the City is using this money to take real action & bring our tree canopy to every corner of the city.
