Horrified of HH Lambeth Council Jim Dickson🇺🇦 Sadly, none of this is new. Same problem last year creating chaos and danger in Herne Hill.
Lambeth Council need to sort this before we see a fatality at this junction.

Another festival benefit from Lambeth Council, traffic chaos in Herne Hill caused by HGVs queuing to get into the park. These trucks were reported as not moving for at least 10 minutes with nobody controlling the traffic. No room for cyclists and kids late to school during exams
We have 29 School Streets schemes in place making it easier for parents and children to walk, cycle and scoot in Southwark. As #WalkToSchoolWeek begins, Cllr James McAsh explains the benefits #StreetsforPeople #SouthwalkWalksToSchool
Another crash on East Dulwich Grove/Oxonian today. Driver of SP19VPG pulled out into a Metropolitan Police car, damaging both and causing tailbacks.
When will Goose Green Police tackle the many speeding and phone drivers here with real penalties and real deterrence?

A very important infographic during a ‘national’ anti speeding campaign. There remains a pressing need for driving culture change and a growing requirement to support ‘vulnerable road users’. Please drive with safety as your core consideration. #RoadSafetyWeek 2020 #RoadSafetyWeek
Tougher penalties should be welcomed. But first we need our police forces to use the penalties already available to them.
Too many drivers caught breaking the law are given only a friendly warning when stopped.

Why do local police teams not issue fines and points to the many drivers who are breaking the law by speeding and putting others in danger?
No deterrence to the dangerous drivers, and no improvement in road safety.
