Happy Birthday to us! The Rifles were formed in 2007 from the amalgamation of our four forming regiments: Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, The Light Infantry, Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment and The Royal Green Jackets.

Congratulations to the 2 RIFLES Nordic Ski team who have qualified for the Army Championships, Ex RUCKSACK, in Ruhpolding, Germany.

The team achieved our best ever finish at the Divisional Championships, placed fourth out of 32 teams and achieved the Battalion’s first podium.

All the best to the Army Men’s Senior Rugby team this evening, especially our very own Capt Ackers and Rfn Ravuvu.

Recently, Riflemen from 2 RIFLES took part in Ex SUNDA PATROL, a three-day competition along similar lines to the Cambrian Patrol in Wales, in the Brunei regions of Sittang, Labi and Kuala Belait.

A unique RIFLES Concert for Wiltshire will be held at Salisbury Cathedral on Thursday 8 February. This concert will see award-winning pianist Rupert Egerton-Smith perform alongside The Band and Bugles of The Rifles and GrenadierGuardsBand for The Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
