Something of a surprise in the NY state budget: It includes a tax credit for newspapers and broadcast media for new jobs.

Jamie Williams, a Dem in the NYS Assembly who has generally opposed allowing asylum seekers into the US, says NY is “abusing its taxpayers” by funding $2.4 billion to shelter asylum seekers in NYC. She votes no on the part of the budget including that funding.
