‼️Be Aware of STAR ID Scams ‼️ Due to the federal requirements, STAR IDs CANNOT be obtained online. Individuals must visit an ALEA Exam Office in person with all the appropriate documents to successfully apply for a STAR ID.

Today marks TSA's enforcement date for the REAL ID, or STAR ID for Alabama citizens! ⭐️ ✈️U.S. travelers will need to present a REAL ID compliant license or ID for air travel within the United States. A U.S. passport/passport card also meets this requirement.

This is NOT the last day you will be able to get a STAR ID in Alabama. You may still visit an ALEA Exam Office next week, next month or several months from now to obtain your STAR ID if you do not plan to fly anytime soon. We will continue to offer this service after today.
