Sunday 10th May - New Britain '44: Cape Gloucester With TARGET HILL captured the landings continued and the 1st Marines began it's advance on the airfields to the north. Within 5 days the marines captured both airfields and were expanding their perimeter to the south. #WW2 #Arma3

Red Devils often conduct exercises to test our capability and for training points. Our recent exercise saw us deploy in Horsa gliders for a fast strike. We found many Privates could handle their leadership going down and could quickly command small teams when needed. #Arma3 #WW2

Sunday 31st May - Peleliu 1944: Airfield On the 2nd day, the 5th Marines moved to capture the airfield. They ran across the airfield, enduring heavy artillery fire from the highlands to the north, suffering heavy casualties in the process #WW2 #Arma3

Sunday 28th June - Iwo Juma '45: The Ridges. In February 1945, Three Marine divisions (3rd, 4th and 5th) were to invade the island and secure it’s airstrips for use. Against them was a mixed defensive force of 21,000 Imperial Japanese Army and Navy personnel. #Arma3 #WW2

Sunday 8th November - The Battle of Kasserine Pass In February 1943, during Operation Torch, American troops encountered heavy resistance from German and Italian troops at Kasserine in Tunisia. This was a tactical victory for the Axis. The Americans suffered heavy losses.

Sunday 22nd November - Operation Compass, the capture of Tobruk In January 1941, British and Commonwealth forces capture the city of Tobruk from Italian forces in North Africa.

Sunday August 15th - Operation Bluecoat With the 43rd Wessex Infantry Division having broken through, the 7th moved through the gap in the enemy line and capture the heights of Mont Pinçon, where German forces have stationed artillery observers.
