Love this, I have always said that our little streets should be lined with outdoor dining - in Flinders Lane there is a small problem - where do the bicycles park now ? Cycle CycleStyle

It’s been a long journey, 7 years of #research & 16 500 pages of notes. I am confident that the time has come for me to start composing my #book. Hopefully it will inspire the City of Melbourne to cherish their wonderful heritage. Quill at the ready - here I go ! Australian Writers' Centre

It’s heartbreaking to think how many of the buildings in this 1910 photo—once lining Bourke Street with such intricate facades & proud Victorian detail—have been lost. Each demolition erased layers of stories, its rhythm & charm. Today we feel the absence of the city’s character.
