This was Ede ad Hannah yesterday at Land's End. They left on time this morning - 0600. Tracker link not currently working but RRA official, Jon Williams, tells me that they are trying to resolve that situation. live.kongtracking.com/JAHRJ2024/

Due to leave A30 at 1312 Actual time 1135 so 97 mins up on schedule. They are going at a cracking pace. 118 miles in 5 hrs 35 min - would suggest quick enough to challenge their first target, the 12 hour record.

Hannah and Ede went through Filton RAB to the North of Bristol at 1629, their schedule was for 1839 so they are now over two hours up. Filton is 200 miles, nearly a quarter of the End to End. They have averaged 19mph so far, which will miss the 12 hour record of 241 miles.

This is the route that Ede and Hannah are taking, after nearly 12 hours they are approaching their next big city - Gloucester... ridewithgps.com/routes/26405677

Hardwicke south of Gloucester for the 12 hours - I make that about 225 miles covered, over a quarter of the way to John O' Groats! Onwards to the Midlands...

Back on the move with the dawn chorus. First night done, in the camper just north of Newcastle under Lyme. 330 miles (530km) in 24 hours. Once the legs are warmed up and the breakfast kicks in, should be a beautiful morning tracking north, headed toward their local roads.

They were due in Wigan at 0922 but actually went through at 0808 - so running about an hour and a quarter up on schedule. I would anticipate that growing slightly. Schedule says due Kendal 1405 - so maybe starting to climb Shap just after midday? ...but watch the tracker!

The Liverpool Braveheart BC women's tandem is rolling well on their End to End ride. Approaching Kendal, they will be conscious of the challenge of Shap ahead, an iconic moment on any Land's End to John O'Groats ride. They will be climbing alongside some powerful shadows

Shap Fell on the morning of 16th June 2018 - hopefully a bit brighter for the Liverpool Braveheart BC pair as they approach this iconic layby. Is a sport even a sport if it doesn't have iconic laybys?

Due Shap village 1515, actual time c 1350. Still 85 mins up on schedule with one of the toughest climbs out of the way. The tandem is now well over half way to John O'Groats and has a lovely long descent into Penrith. Rest the legs for a while!
