perhaps it’ll make me lazy, but it’s so magical being able to ask the most specific of questions of Amp and get such quick and effective responses computers are really cool

Spontaneously recorded a video here in the Amp office to show you why I think Gemini 3 is great and why they play love songs here in the office when I talk about it.

Meet Clicky, the browser use subagent in Amp, which records live screencasts with voiceovers of its changes, to prove the correctness of its work to you. Clicky gives Amp another powerful feedback loop to write code better and more autonomously. WIP, will ship when ready.

If your agent supports 17 models, it doesn’t support any of them well. It’s about the agent (harness + system prompt + tools + model), not just the model.

We shipped a fun new Amp homepage this week for the spinoff announcement. Naturally, Amp helped us implement this asymmetrical grid, and a nifty hidden debug overlay with ⌃ctrl + D.

The best threads are short. But there hasn’t been great interfaces to nudge people towards keeping threads focussed. Thread map is a fun and useful ui for traversing interconnected threads that represent broader code changes.

Tim wrote about how he took his hands off the wheel and let Amp write 90% of our TUI framework. And he suspects that's why Amp now rips through our codebase. ampcode.com/by-an-agent-fo…

Amp Free is now more generous: your free usage is partially replenished every hour. No more waiting 24h if you hit the limit. Happy coding!

not sure what to make of it that my kind of itinerary is probabilistically generated by opus 4.5. agi has been achieved (or i’m not that original)

My workflow on Amp is now about setting up playgrounds for myself and Amp. I use the playgrounds to experiment, find limits, and break stuff. Amp uses them for rapid iteration and exploration. I love working this way and wrote about it: ampcode.com/notes/feedback…

When I started using Amp, it was this curiosity I opened in VS Code, outside where I worked in Ghostty with neovim. I’d occasionally ⌘tab to VS Code to throw something to the agent in a sidebar while I worked. It’s unbelievable how foreign and archaic that feels ~8 months later

The coding agent is dead, the editor is dead, and software is dead, of course, but you know what's still alive? That's right: the browser. (Spotted on Dario Hamidi's phone.)
