@toysinschool

We come in to your school, or we send kits to you, and children get to make their own wooden toy based on examples through history. Great hands-on activity.

One of the most underrated teaching resources out there has to be getepic.com. It's absolutely full to the brim with great non-fiction and also has LOADS of comics...and it's free! It's a dream when it comes to reading lessons! Genuinely can't believe it's free!

After 17 years of toymakin with more than 40,000 children making toys, it’s time for a change. We send YOU the toys and all the tools you need, and the children do the rest. WHATCH THIS SPACE ..

Animal figures have been made for centuries. The Egyptians, 2,500 years ago, made horses from wood, they were about 20cm high and had wheels. Possibly the first hollow wooden toys were those sold to travelers in Troy 1,500 years ago. #woodentoys #educationaltoys #earlyyears

From Egyptian to modern, each toy has its own history. During our workshops the children will learn about the history of the toys as they're making them, bringing fun and learning together. #woodentoys #educationaltoys #earlyyears #education #educationtoys

We were so pleased to be involved with North Ormesby Primar Academy where every child made a wooden toy on rhe same day. The teachers organised a fabulous day for everyone. Have a look now.

Year 1 enjoyed making their own wooden toys yesterday! They used hammers and sandpaper to make merryjacks, catch toys, marble runs as well as others. Thank you to Toys in School who provided all the materials that we used. Year 1 were very impressed with their toy making skills 🔨
