Through the #TMFSustainableCities Challenge, visionaries, pragmatists, and all innovators in between will have such an opportunity to propose how to improve Varanasi’s safety, accessibility, and overall quality of life, and potentially see those ideas come to life!

Venice, one of the most beloved, and beautiful, cities in the world

The city’s challenges have become well known in recent years–mass tourism, rising sea levels, and declining resident population. With problems this large, it would be easy to neglect smaller (but still consequential) considerations. But the city is committing to focus on them.

Many of Venice’s 250,000 full time residents live on the mainland and use private cars to get around. The city has invested in developing low to no carbon public transport but the system is currently underutilized.
