If I could go back in time, I’d tell 14 year old me that I’d become a DJ and to stop ripping all my extended mix dance CDs in 192kbps 🫠

rekordbox by far the clunkiest software I ever have to use 😤 had a couple of gigs where older CDJs can’t read USB 3.1 or 3.2 as well. Known issue with new USBs on older machines but its infuriating travelling to gigs with 5 USBs, all variations of 3.x in case one doesn’t work 😵‍💫

The Pioneer Opus Quad is nice and all, but I think its major oversight is how little, most venues actually invest into DJ equipment. Kills me some of the stuff I have to play on 😂

I always think about this… if you’re a relatively unknown producer / DJ but you write more peak time tunes & you’re booked to play early, do you: - a) play your tunes anyway b) care more about the vibe of the night and focus more attention to a great warm up set
