This week Owl class have been exploring the KS1 playground. “It’s so much fun” and “I love this playground”

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our exhibition evening. I am extremely proud of everything that the children have achieved this year and I am sure that the Wagtails will continue to shine brightly in Year Two 🌟

6DF have all demonstrated a love of learning whilst creating their Titanic models for Science. ⛴️

We enjoyed an animation workshop in 3D this afternoon It was fun to use plasticine and speed up it’s movement as we used the ‘Stop motion’ app.

A Reading Star in 5P today…Gold certificate awarded! A very happy, smiling face this morning! (Skills builder: Speaking, aiming high).

6DF had an amazing rounders match today as part of our last PE lesson at Towers. We saw some excellent batting and fielding techniques. It was great to see the teamwork displayed amongst the teams. 💫

This afternoon, we welcomed a member of staff from Hornchurch Library into school to talk about the upcoming Summer Reading Challenge. The children listened well and asked some fantastic questions to find out more. They will be coming home with more information this week.

The juniors have been busy reflecting on their year and have been writing letters for the future classes to open on their first day back in September. We hope this will reassure the children as they move year groups and help them to get excited for their year ahead.

We had our Summer Core Value assembly yesterday in Year 3 and 4. Congratulations to the children awarded the trophy for each value! Well done to the children who also received their 100% attendance award for the summer term! Thank you Year 3 and 4 for an amazing year!😁⭐️

It may be nearly the end of the term but we still have amazing children in Owl class being knighted. Today’s knight has displayed determination and a love of learning in our phonics sessions, especially spotting harder to read and spell words.

What an end to an amazing year for 5P…popcorn, a slushy each and a movie to celebrate a successful Enterprise project with a good profit made. Smiling faces…5P soon to be 6P!
