Establishoid poets and the institutions that propped them up, have been integral to the near erasure of class based alignments and developmental aesthetics of materialist perspectives in American Poetry. And now we're treated to barrages of X posts on Saving Democracy.

I love journeying to poetic spaces that afford me new looks into the all that's human. And so I'm delighted to appear in this collection. There's overburdening the world; and then there's making the world a lighter place to be in. T.S. comes as a bearer of feathery fluid joy.

"Send us your very best" is the most uninspiring prompt a journal can advertise. "Send us something patently quirky, or socially relevant, if not pressing; better yet, send something quirkily relevant that patently wants to be socially pressing." in' that better?

Although I'm not a Christian, I realize that I have *theological* disagreements with many American poetries. A good chunk of the establishment traffics in sublimated eschatological maneuvers, carrying water for the protestant spirit of personal salvation (in "resistance" mode).

Being untrained and uncredentialed in both literature and music, freed me to be doggedly devoted to nearly untenable syncretistic aesthetics. Here's me working the quirk, riffing on St. Louis Blues with baroque toccata bass runs. The hilarity of this morning jam is structural.

What got me to poetry writing last summer? The demands of tactical alliances with folks desiring to fill the cultural vacuums left by a decaying liberal world order by intervening in G7 ideologically dominated journals and scenes. Personal reasons. Erotics.

I spend hours composing aphorisms on poetics that attempt to highlight social historical contradictions that tug on poetic practices - to spark dialogue, and get 4 likes. A normie posts "I wrote a ghazal today!" and gets 300+ likes. But ain't no way I'm shufflin, but leaning in.

North Americans increasingly think another groups' mojo necessarily subtracts from their own. They proceed throughout their days in a metaphysical drunkenness, indignant and enraptured at the same time. Their elites spend oodles of time distilling the potion. Even exporting it.

What a lot of people love about Creeley is the suffocated and suffocating spirit of protestant sovereignty of the self. I saw him read several times in person and was amazed at the power, breadth, and reach of his convictions. As anti-convictions. Y'all will say. My point.

Workshops across the USA during the downfall of the empire are encouraging mid writers not to learn with humility and improve but to create writing that feels like IP for the LL Bean catalog and sell it back to themselves. We can do so much better in love and honesty
