What a success! The cast of Lear performed brilliantly in the Shakespeare Schools Festival with Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation at Leatherhead Theatre this week. They did Ms Walker proud with her adaptation of King Lear, and we loved watching performances from the other schools too. Well done everyone!

GCSE and A Level Drama students were treated to comedy of the highest quality with a fabulous trip to Yvonne Arnaud Theatre to see prideandprejudicesortof yesterday. Wonderfully silly, marvellously acted and a masterclass on Brechtian staging of a well known classic.

Blown away by the magnificence of GSA actor musicians production of ‘Curious Incident‘ last night with our A Level dramatists - slick and beautifully performed with atmospheric live music. Such inspiring talent! Go and see it if you can!

Whoa there! It has been such a busy term that we have not had time to update you all about the wonderful things our young Tormeadian dramatists have been up to so brace yourselves - here we go!

The Alice@Wonderland cast were simply AMAZING! It was such a fabulous production and the audience were transported to another world full of brightness, fantasy and jam tarts!

Our first ever Young Actor Competition took place in May. Congrats to all our finalists and especially Amelie, Charlotte and Emily who took home winners trophies decided by our guest judge - actress and ex-Tormeadian, Sara Powell.

Activities Week was great fun! The 50 strong cast were incredible in their talent, dedication and attitude in achieving the amazing feat of staging the entire production of ‘Matilda Jr’ in just 4 days! They were all thoroughly revolting (but in a good way!)

Today is Day 1 of Mr Campbell’s Drama Summer School with Tormead girls and RGS Guildford boys. A bit like our production of ‘Matilda Jr’, we have the tricky challenge of putting on a show in a week! We will be exploring theatre company KNEEHIGH along the way. Wish us luck!

Massive congratulations to Bee who was selected as a national finalist for the first ever National Youth Monologues - a huge achievement. She had a brilliant day at the Ambassadors Theatre and did herself proud performing first in her category. What an experience for a talented student!
