It’s National Indigenous Peoples Day. Thanks to my colleagues, especially Courtney Pennell (she/her) who generously share of their culture. I’ve always felt welcomed in to learn more, to dance, to honour and to do better through that learning.

This is probably the only time I’ll be on the same page as a President, but it’s the shining support of Lori J Lancaster and my dear Mission staff that make me proud. If you’ve never considered being Mission staff - think again. I am not an athlete and it’s been an incredible!

Attending the International Black Health Conference with colleagues from @IWKHealth. Hard to stand still with the drums singing and now getting read to hear Natisha Massaquoi speak on “Mobilizing on Common Ground: The Creation of Black Women’s Health Services.

Day 2 at the 1st National Black Health Conference with my @IWKHealth colleagues and hundreds of other attendees. Dr. Jonathan Metzel is speaking to the repeated history of racism evident in the upstream social determinants of health.

It’s ok if you’re not ready to come out yet. It’s ok if you’re not ever ready. Whether you’re out or not, and no matter where you are on your journey, you are valid. And although it might seem like it some days, you’re never alone. #NationalComingOutDay 🏳️‍⚧️💖🏳️‍🌈
