Reports say proposed cuts will bring NYPD numbers down to the lowest level since 1993. But it's far worse than that. This will be an all-time NYC low, and a 30% reduction from the peak 23 years ago. We're already below 1993 numbers. Pre-1995, NYC had 3 PDs, adding ~6,000 cops.
