Last night, after playing Nye again National Theatre I got to meet this amazing lady….Aneira Thomas……..the first person ever born in the NHS…..born one minute past midnight on 5th July 1948, at Glanamman hospital….she was SO lush!!!!!

Even though I’ve loved theatre all my life, #Nye is the first play to bring me to tears at the end, if for very personal reasons.

Phenomenally written & directed, and as always, michael sheen 💙 shows he’s simply one of the best performers on the planet.

Unfortunately Michael Sheen didn’t perform but his understudy Lee Mengo was magnificent! Was wonderful to see Sharon Small again as I watched her in GOOD with David Tennant! #Nye made me laugh & then at the end, cry! What a brilliant production in a beautiful theatre!

Still thinking of the National Theatre live broadcast of #Nye last night - I could wax lyrical for AGES about how brilliant the script, lights, staging, acting, sound and physical theatre were in this.

I am honestly *this* close to booking the re-run of the broadcast in May.

Glorious, brilliant and utterly heartbreaking. Bravo the entire team behind #Nye National Theatre. Utter perfection, and what a privilege to watch on the evening it was filmed for NationalTheatreLive. Everyone NEEDS to see this, and now everyone can! 👏 👏 👏

Saw this last night National Theatre Live & if I’m honest I’m still not ok. It was sublime, wonderful staging, wonderful cast, acting, love and humour. So well done but what’s being allowed to happen to Bevan’s vision is just awful and I can’t get the betrayal out of my head. #Nye #saveournhs

It was magnificent and we felt privileged to watch #Nye last night . I had a tear in my eye at the end michael sheen 💙 was brilliant & delighted with performances from The RSC actors Tony Jayawardena & Sharon Small.

Went to see the Nye Bevan play live streamed into a cinema from the National Theatre London. Absolutely brilliant play. I recommend.

When I realised I was going to see Nye at the cinema only 3 days after seeing it at the National Theatre, I felt a bit foolish. I'm so glad I did! Just as brilliant second time around and I'm still giddy about michael sheen 💙 singing Get Happy #NTLiveNye
