2 years later, 'Michinoku-Toge' indie web-series by Kazunoko ミチノク峠Michinoku-toge is still alive.
Episode 4 is coming soon online, and thanks to a crowdfunding campaign, another indie animators worked on this episode (@tonikopantoja LZbros Tristan Y @neiith525).

Was inspired by SheerKuga amongst many animators who focus on anime to have a a page of animation doodles, studies, tests, and random scraps all compiled together. Maybe I’ll make an animated sketchbook!

my early storyboards for anissa and mark's conversation from ep7 season 2 for #invincible . A simple scene, with simple cinematography. I used the horizon line and background elements to play a bit of symbolism based on what they are saying beyond the dialogue

Many would argue UPA and Hanna barbers cartoons are some of the earliest forms of independent animation. Then there’s bakshi productions which infused experimental film making with economic animation

A version I did of rexplode vs octoboss for episode 7 s2 of invincible. I wasn’t supposed to touch this scene, but was asked last minute to do a fast pass. They decided to do another pass after mine since what I had wasn’t what they were looking for!

I boarded the breakup scene on episode 7 for season 2 of invincible. I had to reboard it a few times because we were trying to figure out what kind of break up we were going for. At the end, it was about two people trying to make something work where they both know the answer

The invincible animation gag was much weirder in the initial storyboards

I was surprised to see they kept my air humping poses for one of the invincible cosplayers. Usually my more dry “comedic” stuff gets changed because it’s either too weird, too goofy or too innapropriate.

I boarded this sequence. I’ll have to show earlier versions of this sequence soon because we were having a riot.
