This Harry Jones bloke is a fabulous #rugby writer - funny, intelligent and entertaining. And this is another cracker, busting the myth that the modern game is robbing fans of action. theroar.com.au/2022/04/08/the…

i can't tell you how hard it is to cover the A-League when you cannot access replays or rewind the game - especially when something dramatic happens at the death like that. it is utterly infuriating #WSWvBRI

This is the crux of the Liverpool v City ‘rivalry’ thing that flared up this weekend. I think a lot of people dislike Liverpool. Not sure anyone really has strong feelings about Manchester City. Liverpool v United is accepted as a big rivalry. City don’t promote strong feelings.

City will get there eventually. In 20 years, when a generation has grown up with City favs in their playgrounds and classrooms they’ll get the level of disdain other big clubs have. But it isn’t there yet. Most current adults aren’t arsed about City.

Get around Min Woo Lee - he has a fabulous personality to match his prodigious talent. Had a brilliant chat with him for AthletesVoice a few years back which his corporate PR stripped of all that personality, then got the shits when we wouldn't run his dire rewrite.

Heaven forbid we ask an evidence-based question to a guy who averages 1.4 tries per game about why his creative players touch the ball less than everyone else's creative players when we spent a week talking about his main creative player. (Trent can answer however he likes, btw)

So sad to hear about Chris Bailey today. Deliciously provocative, I spoke to him in January 2022 for the #almostamirror podcast - about early Saints, being down and out in Paris & London, murals & & Tracy Pew. #chrisbailey #thesaints podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/bon…

You might have seen a wee clip going round of Trent Barrett declining to answer one of my Qs on Sun. The Q was legit, though, so I had a dive into why his halfbacks don't get the ball, and what the Dogs might do about it. As always, in The Roar theroar.com.au/2022/04/12/the…

On Sunday, the board for the 2032 Olympic Games was finalised. On Tuesday, Gillon McLachlan announces he is stepping down as AFL chief executive. I have him at $1.01 to be the Brisbane 2032 CEO #olympics
