Tomorrow (Thursday) @ Main Public Library I’ll lecture on the history of Jefferson County’s (Louisville Metro) 37 African American neighborhoods—rural and urban. Clearly, the stubborn pursuit of education in the face of exclusion by whites is the triumphant story.

Been isolated 15 days. Back then I told myself: 1. Contact family & friends daily even if u don’t feel like it 2. Set a time daily to listen or watch news. Don’t b wired to news all day 3. Sit near sunlight when it shines. 4. Look for flowering trees & plants

5. Sit outside a little everyday 6. Daily listen to music u like 7. Make entry in a diary 8. Jump out of ur jammies early and dress like ur going somewhere 9. Exercise even if it’s just stretches or arm flexes
