We've just delivered 80 pages and over 2,700 signatures to the PM's office, calling for sanctions on Israel now to put a stop to the genocide.

Hawthorn supporters please explain: Why are you so desperate to keep Mackenzie when he could unlock the Merrett deal? Surely if Merrett gets to Hawthorn Mackenzie (a talented young player) becomes surplus to needs.

Where does this put Sydney heading in to 2026? Surely they are right back in top 4 conversation. Hawks, Lions, Freo, Swans would be my top 4 as of last day of trade week.

Hawks negotiating strategy sees to be to try and control the tempo even for contracted players via taking picks off the table (TB last year, Merrett this year). At some stage a club was/is going to say get fucked.

West Coast trade period: In: Starcevich, Young Out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser Draft picks: 1,2,13,34,41, 53,58 B+ Added depth and experience down back, got maximum compo for Allen and still moved up the draft order. Avoided disaster.

Fair bit to be said about Mitchell’s approach and whether it really is the most strategic way to go about it. When it works it word well, when it doesn’t come off, Hawthorn are made to look pretty unprofessional and leaving players to pick up the pieces eg: Merrett/Allen

You know what, I kind of agree with this. I could see Blues making finals next year. Abit of extra outside run, Mackay as main target up forward. The player they’ll miss the most won’t be Curnow or TDK but JSOS.

Contrary to what Sandy Roberts says (it gives you an idea of how these actions were treated in the 80s/90s) this was a very dangerous shirtfront by Geoff Miles on Michael Pickering.
