What's more important—psychology or strategy? Answer: Neither. It's like asking if a car's left wheels are more important than the right. Without both you aren’t getting anywhere.

As long as a concept works, I could care less why. So many people arguing about if an algo controls the market. It’s irrelevant. Are you making money or not?

Wrote this in my trade journal 5 years ago. At the time it was the biggest loss I'd ever taken. Numbers might have increased, but the mindset hasn't changed. Trading is, was, and will always be my Plan A. (P.S. - A year later I would lose almost 100x this in a day 😂)

My portfolio drawdown: Knowing historical drawdowns is CRUCIAL as a systematic trader. Not only for psychology, but also for sizing. I position size for a max drawdown of 15R since backtests always perform better than reality.

Strategy update: Started working on a new model. Woke up this morning and saw it work to perfection on YM 🤝 Going to keep testing, but it’s looking good!

Stock futures are right around the corner. CME was targeting a mid 2025 release. Once created they should be available in prop as well. Can’t wait. I already have some strats cooking in the lab 🧪
