The SLT had a great visit to Holmes Junior High today. We visited math classes, connected with staff, met with the Admin Team, and even had lunch in cafe. It was a great morning all around! #D59Learns

How awesome is this! I stopped by Juliette Low Elementary today where Admin brought in Hugs & Mugs from GigisPlayhouseX to serve gelato to the staff. While a gelato treat is great, having the service staff include 3 former CCSD59 students whose teachers work at JLow, was even better!

We wrapped up distribution of Bernie's Book Bank books today to our 7 eligible schools. With 2700 kids getting 8 books each, we sent home over 21,000 books over the last 2 days. We so appreciate this partnership and the efforts of our school staff to make it happen! #D59Learns

All set for our annual Retirement & Years of Service Recognition Celebration. We will be recognizing over 40 staff tonight for their service to CCSD59 students, staff, & families. Congratulations to all!

Enjoying this morning’s Holmes Junior High Band, Orchestra, & Choir Concert. I so appreciate the commitment to the Performing Arts we have in D59 and the great teachers we have leading this work with our kids.

Just about to kickoff our Northside back to school event at our host John Jay Elementary. As usual we have a ton of community agencies, police, fire, and of course, all of our schools.
