I’m talking about the summer 2025 movie season at the Milford Library, 57 New Haven Ave., Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Lots to discuss. Will they be able to revive ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Superman’ with new actors? Will Brad Pitt reassert his star power with ‘F1’? Please stop by.

One of the ubiquitous '60s TV guest stars, and I couldn't tell you why I never approached her for an interview. THE CONFESSION, incidentally, is better known as QUICK, LET'S GET MARRIED and the screenplay is credited to Allan Scott (though maybe he was fronting for his brother?).

The Ginzburg adaptation (Luciano Salce's Ti ho sposato per allegria, 1967, rendered by FLC as I Married You For Fun, 1969) is even better than I'd hoped. Stylish (DP: Carlo Di Palma; music: Piero Piccioni), with a Ferreri-esque pop art look. Both complex and novel tonally.

Some really underrated, underseen work in here. Early work by Sydney Pollack and James Bridges, and scripts by Leigh Brackett, David Goodis, Alfred Hayes, Link & Levinson, Richard Matheson, and Robert Bloch. Adaptations of Woolrich and Highsmith.

Happy 50th Anniversary Ryan's Hope! On July 7, 1975, the groundbreaking soap debuted on ABC. It was quite different because it focused on an Irish Catholic immigrant family who lived above the bar they owned in NYC. Read all about #Ryanshope in my book from Kensington Books

More from Marlena. #Beyondthegates is must see TV. I love seeing the hypocritical, sanctimonious Dupree family come apart. Rooting for Nicole to stick it to her lying family & for son-in-law cop Jacob to do the right thing and expose their crime & coverup.marlenadelacroix.com/2025/07/marlen…
