Daily Caller Audrey Streb highlighted our new report on the benefits of repealing the Inflation Reduction Act's clean vehicle tax credits. “Not a single Republican supported the IRA. This new analysis is a wake-up call — and a roadmap,” — Tom Pyle. dailycaller.com/2025/04/24/exc…

The fact that 34 Democrats in the House today voted to end the California EV mandate only reinforces the need for the House Republicans to eliminate all of the subsidies for EVs in the Big Beautiful Bill. And it will provide hundreds of billions in offsets for No Tax on Tips!

The arguments against mandating electric vehicles couldn’t be clearer. Now it’s up to Congress to step up to stop California’s ban on gas-powered cars and preserve consumer choice in the automobile market, argues Tom Pyle. instituteforenergyresearch.org/regulation/sav…

Refiners are finding that they cannot survive in California with Governor Newsom’s policies against oil companies. Valero just announced the likely closure of its refinery in the San Francisco area by April 2026. instituteforenergyresearch.org/fossil-fuels/g…

Tom Pyle spoke with Christa Marshall E&E News about the need for consolidating and downsizing the applied energy offices of the Department of Energy. “I’m hoping for a reorganization. … I really wanted that the first go around.” eenews.net/articles/3-iss…

"It’s hard to express just how brazen it is for Democrats to wrap themselves in the cloak of the filibuster." The idea that Senate Democrats are suddenly great defenders of the filibuster is a farce. Senate Republicans will deliver on our promise to lower costs for working

A Biden-era rule let California push mass adoption of EVs on other states. Senate Republicans are repealing it—we won’t let Democrats raise costs on Americans in the name of climate hysteria.

Great piece from Tom Pyle and Institute for Energy Research. Occasionally, Washington talks about phasing out subsidies for wind and solar. Don't believe them, they aren't serious. The PTC began in 1992. It was supposed to offer 7 years of help to get a "nascent" wind industry off the ground.

Dems are trying to nuke the Senate to save California's internal combustion vehicle ban. There is ZERO precedent for not treating something duly submitted to Congress as a rule as a non-rule. GAO plainly confirms this in their Democrat-requested report in footnote #3. Caving

President Trump's energy actions during his first 100 days are important and necessary first steps towards lasting reform. However, there is much more work to be done, argues Tom Pyle in this week's Fueling the Conversation. instituteforenergyresearch.org/regulation/pre…

In the final months of the Biden-Harris Administration, the EPA attempted to force electric vehicles onto millions of Americans. Last week House Republicans took action to reverse their EV mandate and let the American People decide what is best for them.
