12 hours in, Azure is incredibly high-friction. Obtuse security model (EntraID App, AD SP, Graph permissions... oh my), problematic availability (East US is nigh unusable), broken ecosystem with e.g. Terraform provider bugs... The only selling point is that customers demand it.

I don't think I've ever been disillusioned by a tech stack this quickly. Azure is simply unbearable.

My limited experience with OpenTofu and the Azure provider is that it's an unreliable piece of shit that leaves inconsistent states and fails to create/delete resources with prejudice. Does this extend to Terraform? The whole Azure ecosystem?

The arbitrary way many companies deal with hybrid/back-to-office policies these days makes me SO happy to be independent.

AWS woe of the day: MemoryDB refuses to restore snapshot from an S3 object in another account. Hours of bucket policy twiddling later, still getting "Failed to retrieve file from S3". Why is it so hard to show a real error message?
