On 9/11 I think of my friend Neil Levin who I met in my early days in NYC and we bonded over our interest in politics. He rose to be exec director of the WTC and died trying to save people. In 2011 I found this WTC visitors pass from the last time I saw Neil.

Fed week: tonight the Senate will vote on the appointment of Stephen Miran, chair of the WH Council of Economic Advisers to take a temporary appointment as Fed Governor. If approved he will be able to vote at this week’s FOMC rate setting meeting. Fed expected to cut rates.

Shutdown continues as last night the Senate voted 52 to 42 on the House passed CR. Republicans need 8Ds to vote for the bill and yesterday only 3 joined all but one Republican that voted Yes. Will there be any movement on next vote as federal worker and military pay days
