Sitting here doing data clean up in excel to prepare for a fairly big migration. Decided to prompt ChatGPT to build some complicated formulas. Saved me 3 hours of work I think the best way to improve with AI tools is forcing yourself to use them with every problem/task

Been thinking about this a bit more. It really comes down to just changing your habits around any problem. Instead of diving straight in, take some time to think about how you could solve with AI. Do this repeatedly until AI first habits are formed

Favorite analogy to simplify financial statements: Balance Sheet = current health = blood pressure, BMI, RHR P&L = daily habits = exercise, sleep, diet Good health habits lead to good bio markers Same with business. Good P&L habits lead to a healthy balance sheet

I love to work. I think about it all the time even when I’m “off work” because it’s fun to me But I also just made muffins with my 2.5 year old. Easily the most fun I’ve had in a long time The joy on my daughter’s face bringing mommy muffins in bed was priceless

Met a guy today (26) who bought a janitorial business with SBA Bought it within a year of graduating After some growth and hiring an offshore ops person, mostly just runs payroll and sends invoices Now he struggles to fill his work day and wants to expand into commercial

My favorite AI tool lately is Notebook LM. It made the rounds awhile back but don’t see it discussed as much. Narrowing it to specific data is very powerful when trying to learn something new. And I find it a bit easier than a custom GPT. Plus it’s free! Underrated tool IMO

Probably my biggest struggle is that I want to know everything I love to learn and always seeking some new topic to study But I can’t be proficient at everything AI helps me get to 80% proficiency quickly, but I need to learn to trust others instead of doing it all myself

Kids have taught me that no matter how you feel, you gotta wake up and get things done And I mean that in the best way Going on day 7 with various illness running through our house, big week for business coming up , and wife is traveling I’m tired - but it just doesn’t matter

I admire people who find a niche and triple down on it Seems like it makes many things much easier especially in the accounting world But man it feels daunting to pick just one niche Thinking about this a lot these days as I think we should lean into it

Sometimes all you need to do is write down everything on your plate, order it by priority with due dates, and figure out what can be done by someone/something other than you Not only is is reassuring that you're staying on top of everything, but it also helps clear your plate

if you do cold email and are still writing emails manually in 2025, you're so behind. lets fix that... this n8n workflow writes and sends 10,000+ fully personalized cold emails for you: - scrapes ideal leads with apollo - uses GPT to analyze their site and LinkedIn - writes

I've been considering doing a 30 in 30 series 30 clients wins in 30 days. Just sharing stories on ways I've helped clients Some small and some big but just want to think about the work I've done the last 3 years and share with everyone

Funny thought If I just went back and actually studied my likes and bookmarks I’d probably be much further ahead I never think to go back to them but maybe I should change that

Slowed down a lot this weekend to enjoy time with my family Most weekends I tend to work a few hours but not this one b/c Father’s Day Need to do this more as the weight of any work problems feels much lighter now. Back at it tomorrow!
