Stockman spec !! In all seriousness being a mixed farm may be the only reason this farm survives another year , wheat currently averaging around 5 ton/ha , absolute disaster , I bloody hope the beef price holds #britishfarming #harvest25canfuckoff #finestbritishbeef

Think pretty good in Shropshire Guy Davies compared with some of the Eastern Region results we are seeing which in the worst drought impacted areas are appallingly bad unfortunately.

martin williams 1. Support level is an analyst term we use (more on this here: ahdb.org.uk/when-to-pay-mo…), but we appreciate that in this context it may have sounded insensitive. We know this harvest has been especially tough for many, and that experiences on the ground vary greatly. /1

Cover crops just popping through the ground, surprised considering how dry it’s been. And KWS UK Ltd Hinsta OSR absolutely motoring along in the warm weather.

The Budget inheritance tax changes raised £500m/year, but hit small/businesses unfairly. And also allowed much IHT avoidance to continue A new proposal does the impossible: protects small farms/businesses, hits avoidance, AND raises twice as much revenue. How? 🧡:

In 1867 the USA bought Alaska from the Russian Empire for the equivalent of just over $2,000 per head today. If Russia were to offer to buy Crimea from Ukraine on the same basis (it was viewed as a bit of a giveaway at the time) the price would be more than $5 billion.

For the record. Since 1994 Ukraine already has guarantees of independence and inviolability of borders, also from Russia. In addition, on 22 April 2004 Vladimir Putin solemnly ratified the Treaty on the Russian-Ukrainian Border. Suffice to respect them and the war is over.

Bill Clinton proves Marco Rubio is lying, right here, clear as day: WE forced Ukraine to give up their nukes, cruise missiles, and strategic bombers: WE promised to protect Ukraine from Russia; WE made Ukraine vulnerable. So yeah, THIS IS OUR WAR.

Finished harvest 25 this afternoon. Winter wheat and osr performed well, taking into account the weather. Spring barley was a little disappointing. Spring beans were abysmal. Praying for a normal year for 25/26, if there is such a thing nowadays.
