Causal inference is much more than statistics.

Good causal inference requires deep knowledge of the data, questions, and reasons for asking them.

This is as true in a randomized trial as it is in an observational study. RCTs only work because we have more of this knowledge.

Earlier this week in Rome, the Joint Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes ( #JACARDI ) kick-off meeting was organized. Finland has a significant role in this JA by THL leading two work packages and co-leading other two. Also several task leaders are from Finland.

National Wastewater Surveillance System Centers of Excellence used wastewater data to help guide public health action for multiple respiratory illnesses (COVID-19, flu, RSV, and enterovirus).
