The Champion Golfer of the Year is Xander Schauffele who becomes the first player to win two majors in the same season since Brooks Koepka in 2018. The recent memory of winning the PGA Championship gave him calmness in the final round of The Open. Well Played!

Real possibility there will be no golf played Thursday at the Wyndham Championship because of 4-7 inches of rain expected to fall from Tropical Storm Debby. If Thursday is a wash a possibility is Rd 1 Friday, Rd 2 Saturday and a 36 hole finish on Sunday.

The first announcement regarding play today at the Wyndham Championship from the PGA TOUR. Due to Tropical Storm Debby the first tee time will be no earlier than 3:00 pm today. Sedgefield Country Club will be closed this morning. Next update from The PGA Tour will be at Noon ET.

With the tournament starting at this time there is a chance the Wyndham Championship can finish on Sunday. For that to happen players will have to play 36 holes on Sunday and there can’t be any further delays.

Proof that kindness is still in our society. Addison and I were at an amusement park today when a Father & Daughter from Romania kindly gave Addison this teddy bear they had won. She is sleeping with it tonight. A thousand thank you’s!
