Gergely Orosz check out OpenFeature in CNCF openfeature.dev - in a simplistic analogy we are trying to do something similar to what OTel did in the o11y ecosystem but in feature flagging to enable choice and healthier competition imho

We've got issues. ... in a good way! If you're looking to contribute to an open-source project, we have plenty of issues perfect for newcomers: github.com/search?q=org%3… You can also filter by language, by adding "language:go" to the query, for instance.

Hot take: People saying the Crowdstrike thing isn't something you can blame Windows for are wrong. Windows normalizes 3rd party kernel drivers, which is why in general, kernel panics (BSODs) are more common there. Linus reviews all my drivers.

The primary difference between the Biden 2020 campaign and the Harris 2024 campaign is that Biden made promises to progressives and treated them as important members of the coalition (even if he was mostly lying). Harris has focused on making promises to conservatives. Terrible.

Kamala Harris proudly said: "I will appoint Republicans to my cabinet. Trump supporters will have a seat at the table when I am President". that was her pitch. She went on a tour with Liz Cheney, touting the endorsement of Dick Cheney. That was her campaign. Look at the result

Losing with some typically means winning with others and vice versa. Losing big with everyone across the board is nearly unprecedented and hard to conceive of as even possible.

The Democrats lost this election because they ignored the justified anger of working class America and became the defenders of a rigged economy and political system. Boston Globe Opinion bostonglobe.com/2024/11/10/opi…

If the US is going to invade Canada, for old-times sake (and to even the odds a bit) it should be 19th century rules.... FIX BAYONETS, ME BOYS!

Thank God the Democrats didn't go with the Green New Deal and all the fire prevention and water infrastructure proposed therein. Certainly there's been no negative consequences to that! 🔥👀
