I still grief a friendship that ended in 22/23 once in a while.

That’s the problem I have with you lot. You know your parents are against some things and you cannot do without their approval but you’ll start something serious with people who do same thing and start expecting them to conform to your parents. Weird, quite weird.

The issue is that some of you equate ‘victim’ with ‘good person’ and ‘abuser’ with ‘bad person,’ so you struggle to understand how someone who seems kind can also be an abuser, or how a victim can behave in contradictory ways. Being a victim is not a declaration of righteousness.
