TDOC is mourning the loss of Bledsoe County Correctional Complex Corporal Dennis Woodring, who passed away unexpectedly on July 25. “BCCX is honored to have had this true hero work alongside us and keep the communities of Tennessee safe,” BCCX Warden Brett Cobble said.

Today, the Tennessee Department of Correction honors the sacrifice of Correctional Officer Wayne “Cotton” Morgan, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 2005. Officer Morgan dedicated 28 years to TDOC, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, mentorship, and heroism.
