Jesus took the form of a bondservant, coming to serve, rather than to be served. We need to live a life of giving out to others, and one way to give out is to preach the gospel to others; neighbours, colleagues, siblings.

Our personal opinions and selfish ambitions is not healthy for the Church life. When we come together, everything that is of the self should be thrown away. We should think of eachother, and not just ourselves.

To have the mind of Christ does not mean seeking what we think is right when we are with the saints. Our focus should be the oneness of the body, that which is pleasing to the Lord.

We need to realise that everything that we have comes from the Lord. The Lord Jesus came not for His own self, and this must also be our attitude and mindset.

To be a bondservant of Christ means you are willing and determined to renounce and forget about your self/selfish ambitions so that you can follow and serve the Lord Jesus.
