I’ve heard many times: ‘Coach needs to put my child in a position where they can succeed.’ Sometimes all coach can do is put players in the correct position, and it’s on the player to succeed. If they lack skill and/or toughness, success isn’t likely. The game shows no mercy.

Spoke to a D1 baseball coach today about one of our guys. Only 3 questions 1. What are his grades like? 2. How does he act at practice? 3. What are mom and dad like? If you don't think these things matter you are crazy! Not a single question about baseball, data, etc. #OEB

A season needs to be felt not just played. Get on the roller coaster of life with your teammates. The lows have to hurt in order to fully appreciate the greater moments. Let go of the fear that keeps you from the success you are capable of. Enjoy the journey. Embrace each moment.
