Characterisation of Afriforum: 🧵 Afrikaners as an ethnic community, just like any ethnic group, are very much part of SA and its democratic project. The existence of Afriforum is proof enough of the civil liberties extended to all & sundry and also the democratic nature of SA.

So essentially, their desired outcome from this international lobbying is secession. In their heads, Trump can instruct a democratic state like SA to “sectionalised the country”. “Separateness” - that very anchor of apartheid, is a dream that is still alive for them!
