Again, without Dawa Chirring Sherpa, Dawa Dorje Sherpa and Jon Kedrowski’s help there wasn’t even a thought of summit for me. DC stuck with me while Dawa Dorje and Jon went ahead.

When they arrived at camp three they found that our entire camp had been snowed over by the recent storms. They quickly stamped out a camp ground, put me on o’s, and erected a new tent.

Then it started to get hot. Contrary to popular belief, parts of Everest are hot af during the day. I stripped into my “walk across america tights” and enjoyed my new gaseous friend, bottled oxygen. I would be wearing that mask until after the summit.

We ate, ate, ate, ate, and drank, drank, drank, and slept slept slept. Tomorrow would not be as easy. Keep going.
