This AI mock up has been doing the rounds. Will we ever see such an extension of Celtic Park or is it too expensive and impracticable while Celtic play in the low revenue Scottish game?

Morning all, Scott Brown saw red against Barcelona in 2013 after this incident with Neymar. He was foolish touching the Brazilian at all as he doesn't need much excuse to start the theatrics. In the modern game, that's a red card, pity as Celtic were holding their own up to then.

If you have 90 minutes spare any time soon, you'll enjoy the history of Celtic. (1888-1988) Written and narrated by William McIlvanney it's packed full of excellent footage. youtu.be/y-64iLFjyag?si…

Celtic clinching the 1966 title at Fir Park. It was to be the start of 9 successive title wins and of course gave Celtic entry into the European cup the following season. " / X

Paul McStay in goal scoring action. It was a real pleasure to watch his career at Celtic. A fine midfielder who would fit into any Celtic side.

Morning all, on this day in 1994 Celtic appointed Tommy Burns as manager. He set out to get his team to play fast, attacking football in the Celtic tradition and signed some fine players.

Morning all, I hope you're all enjoying the fine weather. Another step to fitness for the team yesterday in the Portuguese heat. It's all about being ready when the competitive stuff starts. I expect a couple of decent signings before then though.

I took these pictures from the window of the 'gate of death' at Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland a few years back. It was a sobering experience... A thousand miles from Paradise tirnaog09.blogspot.com/2017/04/a-thou…

I liked these banners at Celtic Park as they celebrated players & teams from the club's history. It currently looks a bit tatty at the stadium so hopefully plans are afoot for new displays?

Morning all, Celtic have had some fine keepers over the past couple of decades. Forster, Hart, Scheichel, Artur Boruc. I always though the big Pole's best save was this one at Easter Road...

Playing derby games at night seemed to add a bit to the atmosphere? That match in 2022 just sizzled from start to finish. The players responded to the fans and Celtic went top of the table.

If you have some free time today, you might enjoy this tale about growing up in 1970s Belfast. Longer than the average blog but poignant, funny, sad & hopeful in equal measure... Teenage Kicks tirnaog09.blogspot.com/2022/11/teenag…

Morning all, Celtic and Ajax served up a cracking tie in the 1982 European cup. Ajax with a veteran Cruyff pulling the strings, also had Lerby, Jesper Olsen & a young Marco Van Basten in the squad. It was 2-2 at Celtic Park with the Hoops winning 2-1 in the away leg.

It was nice to see this generation of Celtic players visit the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon. It's good to get a feel for the history and traditions of the club.

Tommy Burns with Billy Connolly and Fergus McCann at the opening of the Lisbon Lions stand. Almost 30 years since then and the stadium needs a refresh? Painting the grey steelwork green would help :-)

'Taps aff' for the fans against Newcastle 30 years ago as John Collins is on the attack. That was a very hot day as I recall. Rod Stewart opened the North stand that afternoon as we returned home after that year at Hampden.
