At the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets memorial on Plymouth Hoe tonight, the Leader of Plymouth City Council and I laid wreaths to remember fishers lost at sea for Fishing Remembrance Day. We were joined by Minister for Fishing Daniel Zeichner who laid a wreath with us.

The main event in Brixham saw a gathering from across the country. Our Impact Director Tina Barnes, attended, with Minister Daniel Zeichner speaking about the importance of remembering those lost in the #fishing community. The RNLI took our floral tributes to scatter at sea💐

Our CEO, Deborah Layde, attended the Peterhead event in Scotland with MSP Mairi Gougeon. In Plymouth, Luke Pollard laid a wreath at the Memorial on Plymouth Hoe on our behalf, while Daniel Zeichner laid one for GOV.UK & Tudor Evans for @PlymouthCC.
