Timucuan Preserve is closed in anticipation of severe weather and potential impacts from Tropical Storm Debby. While the storm track is unpredictable, based on existing information, park officials have decided to err on the side of caution. #Safety #TropicalStormDebby

Hanna Park is open and operating as usual and Huguenot is open for day use; JEA is working on the power at the campground.

The park remains closed while staff clean up debris and check. Timucuan Preserve will be reopen on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The park will resume normal operating hours. We look forward to seeing you in the park! #HurricaneDebby

There will be limited beach access at Hanna Park this weekend due to the renourishment project at lots 1 & 2. Today, lot 3 will be reopening at 3pm at Dolphin Plaza. Anyone accessing the beach, please be careful of the swell from the storm that is brewing in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Timucuan Preserve visitor center at Fort Caroline and Kingsley Plantation will be temporarily closed on September 5, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM for employee training.

Over the past two years rangers at Timucuan Preserve, have recorded 5 sightings of the blue land crab . Both male and female specimens have been identified. Historically, the range of the blue land crab was centered around the tropics, near warm, humid environments.
