I believe in beauty & wonder. I believe in the necessity of libraries & museums. They remind us of how incredible it is that humanity thinks, feels, & creates in the chaos of the improbability of our very existence.

4000 words in just over a couple of hours this morning. Not too shabby a use of a day off. (Of course that doesn't make up for it having been on my to list for about 3 months <sigh>)

It was BoysFromTheBalticStar who introduced me to Starlight Drops for #TravellerRPG (Central Supply Catalogue) so they might like to see they are nearly a reality

Utterly convinced watching See How They Run that Detective Stoppard is being played by Mike Wozniak and not Sam Rockwell. Not just looks but mannerisms and world-weariness.

Swam out to that buoy this morning. Yes *that* one. It's bigger than it looks which means it's further than it looks but I cheat by going at low tide and walking at least half the 500m. It's still a challenge physically and psychologically. But gorgeous morning for it.

So many don’t talk about the part with chronic illness where you eventually have to do it in silence. People get used to it even though you haven’t, and people get tired of hearing about it.

Bonus shot from my latest capture of the ISS transiting the sun: One of the captured frames sat right on the limb against these background prominences. The ISS is so iconic, I'm going to miss it when it's gone.
